Yunus Social Innovation created a multi-stakeholder empowerment hub for social entrepreneurs and corporate buyers.
Supported by Porticus Foundation and SAP, YSI brought together social enterprises, ecosystem partners and corporate buyers to strengthen the social procurement ecosystem. These efforts continue via an open-access hub that shares insights and practical guidance generated through the program.
Programme pathways
The two year project was intentionally designed to overcome systemic barriers to social procurement by creating a network of champions and shared best practice.
Global social procurement hub
The Unusual Partners Hub brings together program resources and strategic guides into one, open-source location, providing a groundwork for future social procurement opportunities.
State of social procurement analysis
Drawing on local partners, comprehensive studies of the social procurement landscape and opportunities were produced, covering eight countries across three continents.
Capacity building
The “Selling with impact” and “Buying with impact” webinar series addressed key pain points in the social procurement process for corporates and social enterprises and provided practical structures to integrate social procurement into business processes.
IMM & Reporting
Connecting impact outcomes to activities via a theory of change, this workflow ensured the efforts resulted in measurable uplift.
Making procurement social
The Selling with Impact Series redefined Keldork Global Innovations’ theory of change and today we are proud to be awarded Youth Startup Ecosystem Builder for Africa, where the series increased our B2B access and networks. We highly recommend it.
The Selling with Impact Series is a vast and useful resource - kind of a bible for organizations like ours selling impactful ingredients to food and beverage manufacturers. We've downloaded, copied, pasted, and shared widely within our org to increase the effectiveness of our B2B sales efforts.
