ZZF Global Changemakers: IMM Framework
IMM as a Service
YSI is co-building a tailored impact measurement and management framework and supporting Changemakers in tracing their impact.
YSI is partnered with Z Zurich Foundation to strengthen impact measurement and management (IMM) across the ZZF Global Changemakers Program. Together, we are developing a program-wide IMM framework to provide ongoing tracking and assessment of the programme’s impact, supporting continuous improvement while also designing and delivering a tailored IMM curriculum to build the Changemakers’ capacity to measure and manage their own impact.
Programme pathways
The project provides one on one, hands-on support to a cohort of 16 Changemakers from diverse geographies to embed critical skills in IMM. In addition, Z Zurich Foundation is equipped with a cohesive structure that ensures programme-wide insights are captured through an ongoing measurement, data collection and reporting framework. These are then collaboratively implemented through future programme design improvements as the partnership evolves.
Baseline understanding
Establishing a shared understanding of the programme’s intended impact and defining a programme-wide impact measurement approach. Together with Z Zurich Foundation, this includes developing the Theory of Change, defining key indicators and establishing data collection and reporting processes tailored to programme needs.
IMM curriculum and capacity building
Designing and delivering a tailored IMM curriculum to equip the 16 Changemakers with a practical understanding of impact measurement and management through masterclasses and individual support.
Tailored implementation support
Providing one-on-one, hands-on support to Changemakers to apply IMM in practice, including developing their Theories of Change, refining indicators and strengthening data collection approaches.
Measurement, Reporting and Learning
Collecting and analysing program-wide data to generate insights on impact and effectiveness, while providing ongoing recommendations to strengthen program design and inform future iterations.
The program changed how we looked at impact measurement and has been very useful to us in this phase of our work.
The work of YSI has elevated our Global Changemakers Program, not only uplifting the young changemakers we support with hands-on practical guidance, but supporting the program as a whole to become more effective in achieving impact. It has been a genuine pleasure working with the YSI team, who have consistently combined deep expertise with flexibility, thoughtfulness, and warmth, tailoring their support to our evolving needs.
