YSI facilitates partnerships between social enterprises and IKEA markets.
In partnership with IKEA Social Entrepreneurship and INGKA, Yunus Social Innovation delivers REsourcing: The Social Enterprise Partnership Programme. Rethinking the nexus between business and impact, the programme identifies business needs in IKEA markets and matches social enterprises through structured and guided collaboration.
Programme pathways
Working in the communities where IKEA operates, the project takes a hands-on approach to identifying, launching and scaling partnerships between IKEA stores and local social enterprises.
Market mapping
Together with IKEA and local partners in each country, REsourcing identifies a business need and the social enterprises with the capabilities to meet it, identifying over 100 social enterprises globally.
Structured engagement
Acting as a connector between IKEA teams and social enterprises, YSI ensures that the partnerships established are set up for success, with the support of flexible financing where required.
Scaling and support
Where existing partnerships are in place, YSI identifies new ways to grow the role of social enterprises within the IKEA value chain and develops strategies to put these into practice.
Innovation mindset
Pushing the boundaries of what is possible in corporate-social enterprise partnerships, hands-on support is provided to support new service models and delivery methods to enable social enterprises to meet business needs.

By connecting local needs with local solutions, we’re exploring how collaboration can drive both business value and meaningful social impact.
This partnership shows that inclusion and business excellence go hand in hand: when people with and without support needs collaborate as a matter of course, it creates quality, reliability — and measurable social impact.
We have seen a huge difference from those that have been in the REsourcing programme. When people have been in the program, they shift their mindset about social enterprises
REsourcing is setting out to prove that businesses can be a powerful force for good. The collaborative partnership between Yunus Social Innovation (YSI), Ingka and IKEA Social Entrepreneurship enables us to show solutions that deliver both business value and meaningful social impact.
